The Interiors

Here are some of my past interior builds.

1977 Bay Interior

Full bespoke interior fitted with a Smev glass top cooker and sink, three way fridge and full 240v electrical and split charge.
As this van was a panel van it was fully carpet lined inside. The bunkbeds were also re-covered.

The Volksworld Feature Bus (Keeping Your Bus Alive 4)

I was approached by Volksworld Magazine to see if I knew of a suitable bus to use for this feature. As luck would have it I had just started work on this 72 crossover Bay. The customer and I sat down together and we designed the interior to make full use of the bulkhead area. The furniture is finished in oak veneer with cream vinyl seat covers and door cards; and incorporates a fridge, a cooker with grill, a three-quarter width Rock and Roll bed and has space for a hidden T.V which will be added later, not to mention lots of storage space. I also fitted and refurbed a full Westfalia elevating roof to this Bus including luggage rack and roof awning.

1968 Bay Interior

Full bespoke interior and upholstery, with a hidden fridge and space for a pop up TV.

1979 Bay Twin Sliding Door Panel Van Interior

Full bespoke interior and upholstery, a modern adaptation of a Westfalia continental.

1971 Bay Interior

This van was delivered to me as a painted shell. Over the weeks the whole van was put back together, MOT'd and a full bespoke interior built. The customer supplied me with TMI cab seat covers and door panels, I was then given the task to match the full width bed and buddy seats.

1979 Bay Interior (ex panel van)

This Bay bus had recently been fully restored and the owner wanted a new interior to complete the rebuild. As with all my projects the customer and I designed the layout together to make sure they get exactly what they want.

Swing out storage unit. The cupboard door becomes an outside table.

Rear storage locker with speakers.

Mini side lockers above the kitchen unit for extra storage.

Because it is a converted Panel Van I made up some hidden window frames and carpet lined the whole inside of the van. This tidied up the window area and gave a better quality finish.

1979 Bay

Delivered as an empty van. The customer required a cooker unit with lots of storage, a buddy seat, table and a 3/4 width bed with storage to the side. A plywoord carpet linded headliner was made with flush spot lights.

1976 Bay (Serbian Import)

This Van was a complete restoration done here at VWorks. This is the finished interior with cooker unit, fridge, Rock and Roll bed and plenty of storage space. There is also a full stereo system fitted to the van.

The customer chose and supplied their own fabric for the curtains and roof canvas. There was just enough left for a couple of cushions!

The buddy seat hides a Webasto heater.

I trimmed the whole van in cream and white vinyl, cab seats, bed, buddy seat and door panels.

Interior Restoration (T25 Westfalia Hightop)

This original Westfalia interior was showing its age the floor and cupboards were looking a bit worse for wear so the customer wanted them restored. All the units were removed, the scratches and dents were repaired and everything was re-sprayed with a fresh coat of colour matched matte paint. New curtains were made and the seats were re-covered. The high top was repaired, re-insulated, re-panelled and carpet lined. New carpet lined interior panels were also fitted throughout.
